I think this is one of those cases where you write yourself into your own play. That's me on the the cover, I guess the idea was trying show what scares designers the most. Neenah gave me the "opportunity" to design an invitation for them for their next promotional cocktail party. The printing was on them, I did the work gratis. The cocktail party theme was a pumpkin carving contest, which I was supposed to advertise in the invitation. I think I might have gone off on a tangent on this one a little bit. The idea behind the invitation was to mimic the old horror comic books from the fifties and sixties but picture graphics designers in frightening work situations(because all designers were at these cocktail parties). I was reading alot of Chris Ware at the time.
